We’re moving!
Help us build a bigger wildlife centre!
This winter is going to be a busy one. Over this ‘quieter’ period, we’re moving! We have outgrown our current space and are in the process of moving to somewhere bigger, but there’s a bit of a catch… it needs a lot of work!
It does mean, however, that we get to design the space and make sure it works well for our wildlife patients. We’re hoping to create specialist areas for hedgehogs, pigeons and garden birds, corvids, birds of prey, waterfowl and larger mammals. It will allow us to help even more wild things! It’s going to be a few years hard work, but we’re used to that!
We will be doing our build in a few phases. If you click on the boxes below you’ll be able to see what Phase One looks like! Once this is completed we will have enough space and resources to be able to move from our current centre into the new space. The aim is to have this done before the end of the year, before Phase Two starts! (More on that bit later!)
Phase One
Isolation Cabin
One of our first projects is getting our isolation cabin up and running. It’s going to be costly because we need wipe clean walls, non slip floors, drainage and new sinks and a bath.
Reception
We also have our reception cabin to do, which is where new animals will come in. It will also be where we have a little shop.
Admission Room, Bird Room and Hedgehog Room
This section is converting a big space into three smaller rooms to allow for different species. This is the first phase of our species specific rooms, with plenty more to come! Once we have these rooms up and running, we’ll be able to move over!

There’s no way we can shy away from the fact that this is going to cost an awful lot. The entire project has the potential to cost hundreds of thousands of pounds, so we’re realistic that it’s going to take years to get everything where we want it to be.
